Bassoonist on the Roof is a new musical blending tradition and rebellion across five timelines -- from Shakespeare's England to Anatevka to Harlem to present-day Durham to the near future. With humor, history, and a mysterious bassoonist who appears just when things get complicated, the show explores matchmaking, morality, and modern identity through storytelling and unexpected instruments.

Short Bio
Keith R. Herrmann is a public/private sector veteran, writer, and storyteller who brings a unique mix of satire, civic insight, and musical mischief to the stage. Co-creator of Sourdough Goldfish and longtime advocate for the arts in Durham, he is currently developing Bassoonist on the Roof with local collaborators.
